Abbie LundbergAbbie was part of the founding team at CIO magazine and served as Editor in Chief from 1995 through 2008. A popular speaker and moderator, she leads dozens of CIO discussions around the country every year. She has presented on stage with leaders from business, government and the media, including former Sec. of State Madeline Albright; ABC news anchor Sam Donaldson, and author and investor Geoffrey Moore.

Abbie is a Contributing Editor at both HBR Analytic Services, where she conducts research on digital business and the CIO role, among other topics, and CIO magazine. She holds an appointment as a Research Affiliate at the MIT Center for Information Systems Research (CISR), where she is part of a team studying the involvement of boards of directors in digital business issues.

Abbie has devoted her career to advancing business through the effective use of information technology. She has testified before Congress and worked with the FBI and Secret Service (an unprecedented collaboration at the time) to develop a set of recommendations for cyber security and critical infrastructure protection.
