Michael Parent is a Professor of Management and Director of the Centre for Corporate Governance and Risk Management at the Segal Graduate School, Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada. He earned his MBA and PhD degrees from Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada.
Michael is an experienced educator, with over 20 years experience in executive and graduate education. He is the Academic Director for the Directors’ Education Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors in Vancouver, Canada. His research focuses on corporate governance issues, and the intersection of information and communication technologies with the rest of the enterprise. In that capacity, he has published numerous papers in leading academic and practitioner journals, two textbooks, and over 30 teaching case studies.
