WORKSHOP: CIO's Guide to Avoiding "Go Live" Nightmares

Scott Greenlay is a former multi-organization CIO and currently the National Director of  MNP's Technology Consulting practice. MNP is one of Canada's fastest growing Consulting, Accounting and Tax firms with over 3,800 employees across Canada. Scott has held a number of senior roles in both the Public and Private sector, including Chief Information Officer of a large privately-held firm, Chief of Informatics for the Government to Canada, Chief Operating Officer for a Software Development company, Director of Technology for a Provincial Government, as well as other managerial and technical positions. Scott’s combination of management, technology, and human resources experience, provide a unique insight into optimal technology strategy and execution. Scott’s experience covers all aspects of Technology including significant experience in strategy, new technology adoption, re-organization, software development and deployment, vendor management, security, IT operations and support.  
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He received a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA), graduating as valedictorian. He also holds several certifications in human resources, as well as a number of technical certifications. Scott’s honours include receiving the Governor General’s medal in recognition of significant contribution to the Citizens of Canada, as well as the Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award. He was also a grant recipient of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.
A member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Scott is also active in the community, serving on a number of boards, playing his saxophone as well as enjoying the challenge of raising two inquisitive, tech-savvy daughters.
